Bio/Artist Statement:
Marie-Christine Briot-Connolly is a native of France, who now resides in Morgan Hill. Her painting "SUMMER BLISS" was chosen to feature the Morgan Hill Centennial Poster and Label.

She studied in Paris, Brittany and the Riviera in Provence and painted in France, Italy and Ireland.

She holds an Arts degree and a Masters in American Literature. While in Ireland, she qualified in Interior Design in the Dublin Institute of Design, taught Business French at University level, sailed competitively and married an Irish man!

She paints in oil, charming downtown scenes, Henry Coe State Park vibrant autumnal tones, the Valley's beautiful golden hills and vineyards, as well as crisp vivifying summer coastlines. The emotional charge of these free horizons well at ease in a precise treatment of perspective and bold colors…

Each work tells the story of how our beautiful and familiar landscapes captured the heart of a foreign artist!

She has served on the Morgan Hill “Library, Culture and Arts Commission for two years, as Vice-Chair in 2007 and Is a very dedicated President to “Valle Del Sur Art Guild.
